My name is Mirko Šorak and I don't like talking much about myself but, I am interested in other photographer's background, because I feel it gives full perspective of someone's work. So, I guess it's not a bad idea to “bore” you a bit with my life.

I was born on 4th April 1978 in Zagreb, Croatia. After I finished high school I started working for "Hyundai auto Zagreb".
In April 2002 I bought my first camera, Olympus C-200Z. I didn't know much about photography, but I started reading books and most important, I started practicing. Soon, my camera wasn't enough for me, so I got Olympus C-2100UZ and after that Nikon Coolpix 5700. Now I own: Canon EOS 10D, Canon EOS 20D, Canon  10-22, Canon 17-40L f/4, Canon 70-200 f/2.8 IS, Manfrotto tripod and some basic filters.

I took part in several photo contests. The most important are: HTMobile, Kodak photo of the day, Fotomag, DPChallenge, HRphotocontest, Digitalfoto magazin, Betterphoto.
